Thank you for purchasing a SPOTBOT. This is your SPOTBOT GET STARTED manual. Before installing your SPOTBOT device, please note the following:
- SPOTBOT needs to be connected to a CCTV CAMERA SYSTEM that is connected to the internet.
- For SPOTBOT to integrate with your CCTV CAMERA SYSTEM, you will need to enter your DVR/NVR/IP CAMERA username and password during the installation process.

Hardware Installation
Connect all the hardware as shown per the instructions below:

- Plug the AC ADAPTER WALL PLUG into an AC WALL SOCKET. Make sure the power to the AC WALL SOCKET. Make sure the power to the AC wall socket is switched OFF.
- Plug the supplied USB SOUND CARD into the USB2 pORT on the SPOTBOT.
- Plug the HEADPHONE JACK of the speaker into the headphone plug (marked ) of the USB SOUND CARD.
- Plug the USB CONNECTOR of the speaker into the supplied SPEAKER POWER SUPPLY.
- Plug the SPEAKER POWER SUPPLY into the AC ADAPTER WALL PLUG. Switch ON the main power supply at the AC WALL SOCKET that feeds the AC ADAPTER WALL PLUG. Make sure the SPEAKER is turned ON. The LED light on top of the speaker will illuminate. Switch OFF the main power at your AC WALL SOCKET to safely continue with the installation process.
- Connect the supplied LAN CABLE to the LAN Port on your SPOTBOT and to the LAN port of the same Local Area Network (LAN) internet device that your CCTV camera system is connected to.
- Connect the supplied 5V POWER SUPPLY CABLE to the USB C port of the SPOTBOT plug and plug the
SPOTBOT POWER SUPPLY into the AC ADAPTER WALL PLUG. - Switch ON the main power at the AC WALL SOCKET that feeds the AC ADAPTER WALL PLUG. The LED light of the USB SOUND CARD and the LED light on top of the speaker will illuminate. After a few seconds, the speaker will announce “SPOTBOT STARTING UP”. Your hardware installation is now complete.
Before continuing with the application installation, leave the SPOTBOT on for 5 minutes as is with the power on and connected to the internet. The latest software updates will automatically install during this time.
Application Installation: First-Time SPOTBOT Users
Follow the instructions below to install the SPOTBOT app, create your SPOTBOT account, and link your account to your SPOTBOT device.
Application Installation: Users Migrating from Telegram
Note: All updates and developments on the SPOTBOT Telegram Bot will be discontinued by January 2025. The bot will still be functional but will not be updated with our latest software developments. All software updates and developments will occur on our new SPOTBOT App. If you are using the SPOTBOT Telegram bot, and want to migrate to the SPOTBOT App, follow the instructions below to download the application on your device and setup your SPOTBOT app account.
Linking Cameras with SPOTBOT
A single SPOTBOT device can monitor a maximum of 8 camera feeds. You will use the SPOTBOT app to link your camera feeds with your SPOTBOT device.

Armed Response Integration Setup
All SPOTBOT devices include the Armed Response Integration (ARI) feature. Once set up, SPOTBOT captures and sends intruder photos to the security provider’s control room, enhancing their ability to protect clients.
